Academic Resources

There are a wide variety of options available to 4Csstudents who are looking for academic support. We offer alternative learning opportunities such as Online Learning or International Study as well as writing and math support, tutoring, and open computer labs.

The Office of Academic Support Services encourages students to take advantage of the following services to assist them with the successful completion of their course work:

Tutoring Center: offers free personalized or small group tutoring for Cape Cod Community College students. The College offers academic support in course work as well as vocabulary, spelling, study skills, grammar, test taking, reading skills, math skills, word processing/computer skills, diagnosis of learning strengths and weaknesses, and more.

Math Learning Center: is a place for students to find support and guidance for math work associated with Math classes as well as with Science, Business and Health Classes, and is staffed with Learning Specialists and Peer Tutors.

Online Tutoring: On Demand, Anytime, Anywhere Learning. Take advantage of Brainfuse, which offers a wide range of services that can be used to your personal learning style.

Reading and Writing Resource Center: offers drop-in tutoring for students looking for assistance in their writing and reading assignments as well as with MLA, APA and Chicago forms of documentation, and is staffed with Learning Specialists and Peer Tutors.

This program helps students adjust to college life and prepares them for academic success. The staff includes counselors, tutors, and peer mentors who understand academic challenges that college students face when completing a two-year degree.

This is a comprehensive student support services program that provides assistance to students from the first day they arrive on campus to the day they graduate. Services include tutoring, academic advising, career counseling, study skills instruction, workshops, and job placement assistance.

The College-Level Examination Program (CLEP®) offers you the opportunity to receive college credits for what you already know by earning qualifying scores on any of the exams we offer.

Computer labs are available for student use in support of academic programs. In addition, several computer classrooms are equipped with presentation equipment and Vision software.

See available Faculty-led short-term study tours, as well information about programs to earn credit while spending a semester, summer, or intersession abroad through accredited programs.

This office offers assistance to students with documented physical, psychological, and/or learning disabilities. The Center works collaboratively with faculty and other campus resources to provide a wide range of support services which may include priority registration, academic counseling, tutoring, note taking, adaptive computing, and exam modifications.

Online Disabilities Services

At 4Cs, you’ll find a friendly team of professionals to support your educational goals, balancing work and home responsibilities, while earning your degree or certificate. Whether you attend part-time or full-time, we offer 24/7 online tutoring as well as financial aid packages to help fund your education. We offer training sessions to help make students more comfortable with the online teaching format even before you begin your academic program.

The Cape Cod Community College Educational Foundation awards approximately $200,000 in scholarships to CCCC students every year.

The Wilkens Library provides students with on-campus and remote access to online indexes and full-text databases, covering thousands of scholarly and professional journals and newspapers in all disciplines. The library's collections include books, reference materials, journals, local and national newspapers, video recordings, DVDs, and other audiovisual materials.
